Ashlyn's Official Birthday Party

We finally had a birthday party last weekend with some of Ashlyn's favorite friends.   It was lots of fun and completely crazy.  I'm pretty sure the highlight of the night (maybe not for Ashlyn) was the balloon wacking activity...even Lilly, Ashlyn's favorite buddy had a grand ol' time standing in the middle of the wacking that was going on between Jaedyn and Riley.

Back to the Pinery Pumpkin Patch with Dad and Ashlyn...this time it actually felt like fall!

 This quite possibly was the hungriest goat that I have ever seen.  This guy absolutely devoured every single piece of corn and corn husk that came within 2 inches of his face.  Jaedyn probably fed him about 10lbs of corn husks and I'm not kidding.   Other than the hay ride Jaedyn spent his time with this little friend. 

 While getting some more corn to feed Jaedyn's little friend, Mr. Goat we found this great piece of corn with a worm sticking his head out. 

Some rainy day activities....

 Well, we certainly tried to get creative last week during what may have been the longest stretch of crappy weather that I can remember.   We painted, wrestled, skipped in puddles, hunted for snails, picked tons of worms off of my poor plant outside (anyone know how to get rid of those suckers?), made apple crisp, 3 types of soup...bleh, bleh, bleh.    It was fun while it lasted (sort of) but man is is nice to see that sparkly sun and blue sky!  Can I get an AMEN?

 Jaedyn got just a tad out of control with the paint and decided to paint his face.  I couldn't stop him as it got funnier by the second and eh...what's a little paint on the face?
