Busy Bees....

I have to say that I'm not a big fan of not having a yard to play in, but it forces us out of the house everyday! A trip back to the aquarium....

A trip to Balboa Park....

This is Jaedyn holding his new friend, Stanley. Stanley was sent to me by a first grader and is traveling around San Diego with us for a photography shoot. Stanley will be returning home to NJ in a few weeks, along with the many pictures that I have taken of Stanley in San Diego. :)

Lake Poway Park...

And a little fun at home with Grammy.

The next American Idol

Sunny Days with Grammy and Pop Pop

Another walk across Lake Hodges bridge....

So acting is definitely not a strong point for my Dad......this is his attempt at pretending to fall in the water. Speaking of falling in the water a few minutes later Jaedyn was dropped into the water (by me) at an attempt to get him onto one of those rocks. A bit of a shocker on his little buns and lower back and a lesson to me...let Dad do it next time!!

A visit to a favorite park of ours....Lake Poway Park

As you can see from Ashlyn's little fuzzy hairs it was quite windy!

rolling down the hill...or uh..err....rolling over Jaedyn :)

(side note....cute dress right? it was mine!)

We took a drive up to Julian this past week which is a teeny town in the mountains very much resembling New Hampshire. The drive was beautifully green thanks to all of the rain that we have had and unfortunately we all left 80 degree weather in San Diego to find fall temperatures in Julian with some wind that was ready to blow our socks right off. (please excuse Ashlyn's outfit...I collected whatever articles of clothing I had in the car to keep her warm)

Preparing for some loud motorcycles passing bye!

The art of brushing teeth....

One of Ashlyn's favorite activities is brushing her teeth. If she suddenly has disappeared it's most likely guaranteed that she opened up the bathroom door (yes, tragically if she gets on her tippy toes she can reach all of the door handles now), climbed up on the step stool and is standing at the sink saying "brushy, brushy" by herself. She has a huge meltdown if you don't hand her the toothbrush for at least a quick brush of the ol' choppers. I'm hoping that all of this "brushy" pays off at our first dental appointment down the road...or at least the obsession continues for some nice cavity free, sparkly white teeth!

This week in action...

The one and only video that Ashlyn will actually sit down and watch....Meet the Orchestra.

A day at the Wild Animal Park with Kelly, Karson, Allison and Lilly!

One of my favorite things as a mother is to see Jaedyn and Ashlyn having fun together. Ashlyn's new favorite thing is to answer every question that you ask her with a quick nod of her head with a small "em", which is her way of saying "yes". Jaedyn has picked up on this and now converses with her...asking her everything from "are you hungry?" to "do you want to poop on the potty"? This particular evening Jaedyn asked her if she wanted some yogurt. :0)

Back in November I surprised Rob with some tickets to go hear one of his favorite composers, Debussy played by the SD Symphony. Rob and I had a fabulous dinner at the Yardhouse and relaxed in our symphony seats and heard Debussy's La Mer, a beautiful piece of music inspired by the ocean.

Ashlyn has turned into a monkey climbing on everything that she can. I often find her on this little bench in her room reading some of her favorite books.
