Nana's Visit

We have had a steady flow of family members here since January...an entire 5 months! It's going to be very quiet now which is nice for a little while, but I LOVE when we have company (so if anyone else wants to come out and visit please come!) Anyway, our last visitor was Rob's mom. She hadn't been out for a visit in quite some time so it was so fun to have her here. The kids enjoyed her so much although sadly Ashlyn was terribly miserable for most of her stay here because of a double ear infection and a terrible cold. We stayed busy doing our usual activities hitting up some parks and we made a trip to the Wild Animal Park!

Jaedyn who rarely takes naps these days passed out on the couch one afternoon after drumming in the garage with Nana!

We took a ride down to Mission Bay with the intention of going for a nice stroll on the boardwalk. The walk lasted about 2 seconds as Jaedyn and Ashlyn made a bee line for the sand.

Nana and Jaedyn watching some large fish jumping out of the water.

For Mother's Day Nancy and I left Rob with Jaedyn and Ashlyn and busted on over to Encinitas for a special Mother's Day Garden Tour. We drove around Encinitas and Rancho Santa Fe to 8 different gorgeous homes/gardens and viewed different kinds of artwork ranging from jewelry to pottery to photography. It was such a fun day!

One of the homes that we toured had a HUGE garden! Two acres of land covered with beautiful flowers.

This was my favorite house...a small southwestern house located on the corner of Moonlight Beach. It was RIDICULOUSLY cute, post and beam inside with glass doors, the cutest patio ever and a view as you can see that was amazing. I would have taken more pictures, but I had the wrong dang lens so my photos were very limited.

A trip to the Wild Animal Park...

Jaedyn got a little wet in the play and spray section and walked around for the rest of our time with his shorts hiked up. Look at those cute little legs! I could just eat them right off!

And a few shots of Ashlyn in action before she got sick....

Discovering the world of magnetism...

I'm sure that whoever created these ovens didn't think for a moment that this would be a hazard...
