Back in the mini pool...

Well...the only nice thing about not having a hose to fill up our little patio pool is I can fill it up with hot water from the bathtub. Jaedyn and Ashlyn stayed in pretty long on this sunny day which resulted with some pretty pruney piggies.

Ashlyn and Lilly

For Labor Day weekend we headed over to a friend of ours for a fun little b-bq. Bryce and his wife have a fabulous yard with a pool, a perfect little grassy area and a path that leads to the way back where he has some chickens. Fun!

Another fun day in San Diego at Balboa Park. Lots going on there this day...live music, dancing, a wedding and Jaedyn got his first official tattoo!

Hot weather = Creative energy release

On one of the very few hot days that we had this summer we spent our afternoon making obstacle courses with our pillows. Jaedyn and Ashlyn had fun jumping around on the pillows and Ashlyn did some interpretive dancing with Lambie. Jaedyn decided to re-coin the term "pot head" by using my head as an example.

Meet Willy....our pet inch worm

One lovely morning while we were eating breakfast Jaedyn spotted the tiniest little inch worm dangling from our single sunflower. This little guy was super cute and Jaedyn and Ashlyn were both fascinated with him. He lived with us for a few days and then the sunflower died so Willy was released back into his natural habitat. :)

Solana Beach w/ the Oswalds

We haven't had the best summer for beach days here...(GASP! I know...it's San Diego...crazy right?) We have this rather annoying thing here called the marine layer. So many days we jump in the car at our place where it's 95 and on our way to the beach there's that gray blob hovering over the ocean. Well, not this day. This was quite possibly the best beach day of the summer. Toastie warm, but not too toastie and 2 of the nicest, most polite children that played with our little toddlers the entire time. Fantabulous!
